Victorian Office Telephony Services (VOTS)
Victorian Office Telephony Services (VOTS) is a whole of Victorian Government (WoVG) contract for
the delivery of telephony and related facilities management services.
NEC Australia is contracted to provide services under the VOTS contract until September 2009 with options to extend.
Specific services include:
- office telephony (both traditional and Internet Protocol (IP));
- voicemail;
- help desk;
- call attendants; and
- call charge validation.

What are the benefits?
In addition to the overall
TPAMS benefits, VOTS benefits department and agencies by providing:
- total upgrade of the technology platform to an Internet Protocol (IP) enabled system, ensuring the continuing convergence of voice and data services;
- significantly improved service levels to ensure minimal down time in the event of an equipment failure;
- minimised costs to convert from traditional telephony to IP telephony (if required); and
- enhanced telephony charge validation function that will ensure the Government is being billed appropriately by carriers.
